CORRUPTION IS THE MAIN FACTOR FOR CONGRESS DOWNFALL AND DEBACLE IN UP,GOA AND PUNJAB LAMENTED ODISHA CM NAVEEN PATNAIK 7/03/2012
ODISHA NEW:
Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Tuesday says corruption main factor for Congress debacle in recent polls in 5 states. He said that Congress has lost public confidence. Naveen said this while reacting to poll results in five states.
Welcoming the poll results in UP and elsewhere said the results have proved that the oldest political party of the country, Congress, has completely alienated itself from the people at the grassroots level and aligned itself with corrupt elements who are looting the poor and the middle class masses.
In his reaction to the poll results in five States, Patnaik told media persons before leaving for Delhi on a five-day visit, that misgovernance of the Congress-led UPA at the Centre, its arrogance accompanied with attempts to hold the States to ransom at the cost of the constitutional provisions, defiant attitude of its leaders towards constitutional forums and indulgence in rampant corruption as evidenced in the recent days were some of the causes that forced the party to bite the dust in Uttar Pradesh, Goa and elsewhere in the country.
SIDDHARTHA SHANKAR MISHRA,
BUREAU CHIEF, THESE DAYS,
