ODIA GIRL RASMITA SAHU GREETED FOR BEING A PART OF WORLD CUP KABADI TEAM AT PATNA AND CASH WORTH 50,000 WILL BE AWARDED 07/03/2012

Odia girl, Rashmita Sahu, was warmly greeted in her hometown for bringing laurels to the state by being a part of the World cup winning Indian Kabadi Team which was organised at Patna. Indian won the tournament by defeating Iran in the final. She was the lone odia player in the national team. She played in two games during the tournament.
Earlier she was felicitated by the Kuakhia Sporting Club and Bahadalapur Panchayat on her return to Jajpur. Rashmita was taking Kabadi Training from Kuakhia Sporting Club. Her family members and people from her village Sankharidiha gave her a grand welcome party.
The Odisha Olympic Association (OOA) has announced a cash prize of Rs 50,000 which will be given to her during the State Athletic Meet later this year.
