It was really pity for the Railway authority and the people of Capital as well on saturdy afternoon when people around the world who were present at different platforms and viewing porn videos shown publicly. In a shameful situation yesterday a video clip of around 10 minutes was shown publicly in the TV screens of the platform at Bhubaneswar station. With immediate action of RPF the screened was stopped but by that time there have been 10 minute screening of the video having porn content.


Later RPF arrested the miscreant Asutosh (20 Yrs) and his mobile phone having porn videos. Asutosh was just appointed for a contractual job 4 months back. He was working with the private organisation who is managing the CC Tv footage and other video documentation in and around the railway station.


The authority in one hand pretending as it is an unintentional mistake but the image and ethical values of the state is at the back door with this shocking incident. This incident happened at around 3pm in the afternoon which is supposed to the pick hour as most passengers do have their trains around that hour. Soumendra Ghosh, a tourist from Bengal was very upset who alleged that it was completely intentional and station authority is completely responsible for this. Mr. Ghosh was with his kids and felt much uncomfortable before the kids.


This type of incident has happened earlier some of the coolies and local vendors complained. Miscreants do so in the late hour and even in the day time they used to play some provocative videos. Its time for the railway authority of Bhubaneswar station to wake up as it is quite an offending situation for the state if something like this happens before the tourists who contribute much to our revenue.

Peoples at the station also stated that the Television Screens at the Railway station is indeed a good step. But most of time it shows Hindi cinema songs. Instead the authority can use this in creating social awareness, awareness about railway and best it can be used to promote the art and culture of the state. It can be used as a passenger & tourist helpline showing important contact details, train timings and other necessary information.
