Cold wave disrupts normal life in district, looking at severe cold in the city from fortnight the voluntary persons of town & Sambalpur police have jointly started a new campaign.


At night when the town peoples are stuck in their homes at that time this campaign starts. This operation is for those poor people who sleep in foot-path & trembling with cold. Blankets are being distributed for the protection of these poor people from the fierce cold by the voluntary organization along with Sambalpur Police. 150 blankets have been distributed among the poorer in first day of operation.


Similarly, by running this campaign over hundreds of blankets has been distributed among the poorer at Khetrajpur railway station, at Farm road situated Samleswari Mandir, at San sadak & Bad bazaar. Former president of Sambalpur Development Authority, Jaywart De, former deputy chairman of Sambalpur Municipal Ramchandra Meher, Town Thana in charge R N Dev, Dhanupali Thana in charge P K Rout, Khetrajpur Thana In charge Sanjiv Sathpathy, Prasanth Pattnaik etc. are the main persons who gave their contribution in this campaign.
